Returns, Exchanges & Order Cancellations
Our Policy
As a small independent brand with limited production runs, we offer exchanges or store credit for change of mind purchases. We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
Refunds are only provided for faulty items in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
We understand that shopping online can sometimes be tricky, especially when it comes to finding the right fit. For that reason, we’re happy to offer exchanges on unworn items within 30 days of purchase, provided the conditions below are met.
Exchange Conditions
Items eligible for exchange must:
- Be returned within 30 days of the order date
- Be unworn, unwashed and unaltered
- Have all original tags attached
- Be returned in original packaging
- Show no signs of wear, stains, damage or odour
All returned items are inspected upon arrival.
South Beach Boardies reserves the right to decline items that do not meet these conditions.
Sale Items
Sale or discounted items are not eligible for refund. These items may be exchanged or issued with store credit to the value paid.
Return Shipping
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot take responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
To speed up your exchange, please include a prepaid return satchel or shipping label so we can send your replacement straight back to you.
How to Make a Return
To initiate an exchange, please email info@southbeachboardies.com with your order number and the email address used at checkout.
Please include:
- A note with your order number, full name, and exchange request (including preferred style, size and colour)
- A prepaid return satchel or return label with your details clearly filled out
We recommend checking online stock availability before sending your return.
Refunds (Faulty Items Only)
We take great pride in the quality of our products. If you believe your item is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assess the issue.
In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to a refund, replacement or repair where a product is deemed faulty.
Where possible, we will offer a replacement. Refunds are processed once the item has been received and assessed.
This refund policy applies only to faulty items and does not apply to change of mind purchases, incorrect sizing, or other non-fault-related returns.
EU Returns & Consumer Rights
Customers in the European Union have certain rights under EU consumer protection laws, including the right to withdraw from an online purchase within the applicable timeframe.
Where a return is requested under these rights, the cost of returning items to South Beach Boardies remains the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise required by law.
Please note that any customs duties, taxes, tariffs, or import charges applied to your order are the responsibility of the customer. If these charges are refused or unpaid and your parcel is returned to us, any return shipping costs or fees incurred may be deducted from your refund.
We recommend checking any applicable import requirements before placing your order.
Processing Times
Please allow up to 5 business days for your return to be assessed once received.
Refunds (where applicable) may take up to 10 business days to appear in your account depending on your payment provider.
In-Store & Stockist Purchases
If you purchased your item from one of our stockists, any exchange or refund must be handled directly with that retailer and is subject to their individual policy.
Online purchases made via southbeachboardies.com may be exchanged at our stores, pop-ups or market stalls, subject to availability. We recommend contacting us ahead of time so we can do our best to have your preferred item available.
Order Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your order before dispatch, please email info@southbeachboardies.com as soon as possible.
We aim to pack and dispatch orders quickly, so cancellation cannot always be guaranteed once an order has been placed.
Approved cancellations may incur a $5 administration fee.
