We love the ocean. We also love a pair of boardies that gets worn again and again. South Beach Boardies brings those things together through practical beachwear, playful prints and considered choices about what goes into our clothes.

We're an independent, family-run beachwear brand based in South Fremantle, Western Australia. “Better for the planet beachwear” is the direction behind our decisions, from materials to the causes we support.

What does recycled beachwear mean?

In parts of our swimwear range, we use recycled polyester made from recycled PET bottles. That describes where the polyester comes from. It doesn't mean every part of every garment is recycled, or that all products share the same fabric blend.

Always look at the composition for the item you're choosing. Different products have different jobs to do, and their fabrics reflect that.

Our Materials Library explains the fabrics used across the range, including recycled polyester, TENCEL™ Lyocell and organic cotton. It's there to help you understand the choices behind the clothes and find the right material for the way you want to wear them.

Giving back to the ocean

We commit 10% of our profits to ocean and marine conservation charities, including the Australian Marine Conservation Society and Protect Ningaloo. You can read more about those commitments and our community projects on our Giving Back page.

Start with fit and comfort, then choose a print that feels like you. Read the care instructions and look after your beachwear so it can stay in your regular rotation.
